August is National Black Business Month and we were proud to kick off this celebration announcing our selection among 42 other non-profit and community organizations awarded the MBDA Capital Readiness Program The MBDA Capital Readiness Program is a $125 million initiative aimed at assisting underserved entrepreneurs in growing their businesses.

Along with our award-winning Co-Starters Program for small businesses we’re excited to touring across Louisiana for the 50th Annual Bayou Classic.

The Louisiana Leads Luncheon will be our state-wide awards program with Keynote Speaker: Governor John Bel Edwards on Thursday, October 12th at the Hilton Downtown Baton Rouge.

Business at Bayou is a business expo that showcases nonprofit, corporate, and local businesses. Students, Alumni, and Visitors are invited to stop by the Business at Bayou to purchase items from small black businesses and learn more about networking opportunities.
