Access to capital

Difficulty accessing bank loans, start-up funding, lines of credit, and other forms of capital is one of the primary factors holding back the establishment, expansion, and growth of minority-owned businesses in Louisiana. The LCCF is working with public and private partners to ensure Minority entrepreneurs can gain greater access to the credit and capital they need to start and grow their businesses.

Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) are specialized community based financial institutions with a primary mission to promote economic development by providing financial products and services to people and communities underserved by traditional financial institutions, particularly in low income communities.
